Photowalk with Julia

These are from a photowalk I did with my friend Julia. I'm so lucky to have people in my life who are as passionate a out analog photography as I am. My next goals are to master a fully-manual, twin-lens-reflex camera, and work on some material for an upcoming art show. Ill have to shoot a lot of instant film which is pricey, but I'll freak if my photos get selected.

Colorsplash Party

Out of my many film cameras, the Colorsplash is the one I always pack for parties. What better way to capture hipster horses kissin ladies?

Candids

Summer is almost over, though judging by the 90 degree weather you'd think it had just begun. I'm going to miss being able to walk outside without wanting to cover up every inch of skin against the bitter cold. I'm hoping to get some more portraits done before winter takes over and all my friends hibernate.

Summer Night Parties

I shot these photos over the summer with my LC-A+. Friends are so important to me, especially in the "Windy City" where so many people come and go. Light-streaking is one of my favorite techniques, but I had never tried it on this scale. Everyone used these plastic bumpers that changed colors as they moved. It was like watching a psychedelic light-saber show.

Film Swap with Rachel Winslow

These photos are from a film swap I did with Rachel Winslow. I used my friend Demi Yaou as a model, and Rachel shot the textures. The best part about a film swap is that you never 100% know what will come out. I'm in love with these images.
